Learn how to draw expressions, it's very clear what you we're going for. But you fell flat at it. Look at detailed faces and practice drawing them. Eventually you'll learn to draw better faces. When the comedy of the comic is funny faces make the 8 year olds laugh, you should at least make the face funny.

But I always want to improve my drawings, whether it's on my cell phone or on paper, I make drawings that I like and find fun to do.
And another thing about the comedies in my comics is because I don't have much of an idea, so the first thing that pops into my head appears:/
